 The Lion Tour is an interactive and educational tour. By teaching people about lions and their natural behavior we are able to create a greater awareness of the importance of their conservation.
We take small groups of people so you can interact with the animals. The tour is really laid back, you spend time in the garden feeding the baby lions and any other rehab animals we might have at the time. Thereafter you head out on a lion walk. The lions don't walk energetically as they are lazy cats. They love to stop for a cuddle or to splash in the water.
The tour also includes any rehab animals we may have at the time, e.g. snakes, baboons, giraffe, etc.
Trips Include*
- Half-day experience - starting at 12:30pm sharp
- Delicious meal in the restaurant
- Around 2:00pm we start with a lecture on the behaviour of lions
- Walk to the dam with the lions, or any other rehab animals
- Cuddling the cubs in the gardens under the trees
- The tour ends with a snake demonstration.
On the "Lion Lunch" menu*
- Delicious hamburgers
- Pork schnitzel within a golden-brown covering of breadcrumbs
- Scrumptious chicken fillets
- Fresh fish in batter
- The above is served with a generous portion of chips and a lovely salad.
